Website for a furniture company
People don’t buy custom furniture based on what they see on a single screen: they spend a long time looking at examples of work, comparing materials, and want to understand the pricing structure before they even start a conversation. We build websites for furniture and kitchen manufacturers—complete with a portfolio, a price calculator, and a measurement request form.
How does a furniture manufacturer's website differ from a store?
In a regular store, the goal is the “Buy” button. With custom-made furniture, you can’t buy it right away: the final price depends on the dimensions, materials, and hardware, and the decision takes weeks to finalize. That’s why the website serves a different purpose here—to demonstrate what you’re capable of and give people a reason to leave their contact information before they go off to compare prices.
This leads to the following structure: not a price list and a shopping cart, but services, materials, a clear pricing structure, and a request for a free measurement.
What Should Be on the Website
- Catalog of Works with Filters — by type (kitchens, sliding-door closets, walk-in closets, children's rooms) and style. This is the main section: it's the one people browse through before contacting us.
- Project Card — a few photos, dimensions, materials, hardware, and production time. The more specific you are, the fewer questions there will be during the initial conversation.
- Price Calculator or Price Range — a rough estimate “from to” per running meter or by product type. Without any specific numbers, most people just leave it at that.
- Materials and Hardware — What types of particleboard, MDF, cabinet fronts, and mechanisms do you work with? This page is for those who are already comparing you to a competitor.
- Request for Measurement — the primary call-to-action instead of the shopping cart.
- Manufacturing — Photos of the production facility and equipment. A manufacturer that shows its production facility has an advantage over a middleman who only shows renderings.
Photos of the work say it all
In this niche, a website’s sales potential depends entirely on the quality of its photos. Photos taken in-house of finished kitchens at customers’ homes are more effective than any design, while renderings and stock images are immediately recognizable—and they raise questions about whether the company actually manufactures anything at all. If there’s no photo archive, it’s worth including a photo shoot in the project budget: this investment offers a better return than adding extra pages.
Our Work in This Niche
Furniture — Website of a manufacturer of custom kitchens and furniture: a portfolio of projects with filters, project details including materials, and cost estimates. The rest of the projects can be found at portfolio.
How much does a website cost for a furniture company?
We do not publish a general price list. The cost depends on the size of the catalog and the number of filters, whether a calculator is included and its complexity, the number of unique layouts, and whether photos and text are provided.
We'll send you a preliminary estimate after the briefing — Fill out the form, three steps, no phone calls.
How long does development take?
The manufacturer’s website, which includes a portfolio of projects and a quote calculator, typically takes 5–8 weeks. If the quote calculator is complex—with prices depending on materials and dimensions—the timeframe will be closer to the upper limit. We finalize the steps before work begins.
