Online QR Code Generator
Free QR code generator: links, Wi-Fi, phone numbers, email, and SMS. No registration, no watermarks, and no limits on the number of codes. The code is generated right in your browser—no data is transmitted anywhere.

What Can Be Encoded
- Link or text — a website, a menu page, a form, or any line of text.
- Wi-Fi — A guest points the camera at the device and connects without entering a password. Convenient for cafes, offices, and hotels.
- Phone — Scanning immediately opens the dialer.
- Email — including the subject line and the body of the email, if necessary.
- SMS — the phone number and the message text.
How to Create a QR Code That Actually Scans
Don't make the code too small
The minimum printable size is approximately 2×2 cm, and that’s for a short-link code. The more data it contains, the smaller the squares become, and the larger the physical size needs to be. For banners and signs, use this rule of thumb: the side of the code should be about ten times smaller than the distance from which it will be scanned.
Leave some space around it
There must be an empty space four modules wide around the code—our generator adds it automatically. If you trim the code too close to the edge or place it right next to the text, some scanners won’t be able to read it.
Do not invert the colors
The code should be dark on a light background, not the other way around. The greater the contrast, the better. A light gray code on a white background looks stylish but won't scan.
For printing, choose a product with high durability
The error correction level determines how much damage the code can withstand: scratches, creases, and partial coverage. A medium level is sufficient for screens; for stickers, menus, and outdoor signage, choose a high level.
Download the SVG for printing
PNG has a fixed resolution: if you enlarge it, you'll see jagged edges. SVG scales without any loss of quality, so that's the format you should send to the printer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the generator free?
Yes, absolutely. No registration required, no limits on the number of codes, and no watermarks. The codes you create can be used for commercial purposes.
Will the code stop working over time?
No. Our generator creates static codes: the link is embedded within the image and does not depend on any service. This is an important difference from the “dynamic” codes used by many services—in those cases, the code links to an intermediate domain, and if the service shuts down or the subscription expires, all printed codes will stop working.
Can you tell that I'm coding?
No. The code is generated in your browser using JavaScript; the data you enter is not sent to the server. You keep your Wi-Fi password.
Can a link be changed after printing?
In static code—no, it’s hard-coded. If the link might change, code the page address on your website, and then set up a redirect on that page: that way, you control the destination without having to reprint the material.
Which format should I choose—PNG or SVG?
PNG — for screens, presentations, and social media. SVG — for printing in any size: from business cards to billboards.
It's not just about the code
A QR code takes a person to a page—and from there, it’s all up to them. If the page takes a long time to load or is hard to understand on a phone, the code will only speed up the loss of that customer.
