NOTE.net.ua — a high-end beauty salon in Kyiv: haircuts, manicures, makeup, and facials.
Task
The salon needed a website that would convey the establishment's high standards while also answering simple questions from customers: what services are available, how much they cost, and how to make an appointment.
What They Did
- Structure by service category—each with its own description and prices
- a visual style with a minimalist black-and-white aesthetic, emphasizing photographs of the works
- Appointment form with a brief note
- responsive: most visitors access the site from their phones while on the go
Details
For the beauty industry, it’s crucial that users can see the price and get in touch with just two taps on their mobile devices—the entire navigation system was built around this.

What was taken into account in the niche
The beauty industry doesn’t sell a service—it sells trust in specific hands. Clients choose a salon based on three factors: the quality of the work, the price, and how easy it is to make an appointment. Decisions are made quickly and almost always on a phone—between meetings, on public transportation, or in the evening after work.
This leads to the main limitation: if it takes longer than ten seconds to find a price, the user closes the tab and visits the next dealership. That’s exactly why the prices on the website are publicly listed, rather than “upon request.”
Site Structure
- Services. — guidelines describing what each procedure involves.
- Prices — a separate section with transparent pricing, no registration required, and no phone calls.
- Safety and Service — Sterilization, supplies, and operating procedures: in the beauty industry, these are part of the solution, not just a formality.
- Contacts — address, phone number, and a one-tap booking button.
Technical Solutions
- The mobile version was designed first, rather than adapted from the desktop version: the phone is the primary device here.
- The phone number in the header is an active link—you can call it from your cell phone with a single tap.
- Product photos are compressed without losing quality: beauty photos are large files, and a slow website ruins the first impression.
- A subdued black-and-white presentation, so that color appears only in the photos of the artwork—this makes them stand out more vividly.
What the client received
- An admin panel where the salon administrator can update services, prices, and photos on their own—without a developer.
- A registration form that allows you to submit applications via email and messaging apps.
- Integrated analytics: You can see which pages people are signing up from.
- A domain and hosting account registered in the salon's name, with full access.
